PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element excellent in luminance. SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescent element comprises a compound having 7,14-alkanoacenaphtho[1,2-k]fluoranthene derivative represented by general formula (1-A), which is put between a pair of electrodes. (wherein m represents an integer of 2-20, X1 -X12 each independently represent hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight-chain, branched-chain or cyclic alkyl group, a straight-chain, branched-chain or cyclic alkoxy group, a substituted or non- substituted aryl group, a substituted or non-substituted aryloxy group, or a substituted or non-substituted amino group, and the mutually adjacent groups selected from X1 -X12 may be mutually bonded to form a substituted or non- substituted carbocylic ariphatic ring together with a substituted carbon atom.
