PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a waterproofing property. SOLUTION: The contact type starting switch operates one of a plurality of switch contacts 12 provided on a mount 2 by a pressing operation of an outer cover 6. Mounting holes 2f of the mount 2 are provided with an interval in a length direction of the mount 2. A recessed part 2g with an opened front face is provided between the mounting holes 2f. The contact switches 12 are arranged in the recessed part 2g. The front face of the recessed part 2g is sealed by a flexible sheet 3 and an inner cover 4. The inner cover 4 has a pushing piece 4b transmitting displacement of the outer cover 6 to the switch contacts 12.
