PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removal mechanism with safety and high quality grade by avoiding a battery from being jumped out from a package when the battery is removed. SOLUTION: This invention provides the battery removal mechanism 1 that contains/eject the battery, and is provided with; a package 2 having an opening 21 inserting the battery and a container 22 containing the battery; a slider 3 moved forward/backward in the container 22 of the package 2 according to the attachment/detachment of the battery; a spring 4 for energizing the slider 3 toward the direction of the opening 21 of the package 2; and a damper 5 providing a load to the movement of the slider 3 when the energizing of the spring 4 moves the slider 3 in the direction of the opening 21 of the package 2. Further, the imaging apparatus has the battery removal mechanism 1.
