PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing a labor for staffs to be required when downloading update data necessary for a user's information processing device. SOLUTION: This method of downloading update data comprises the steps of reading information of version of data stored in the information processing device when the information processing data downloads from a server the update data for updating the data, transmitting the version information read by the information processing device to the server, and comparing the version information received by the receiver from the information processing device with the information on the version of the data updated by the update data stored in the information processing device and, when the information on the version of the data after update is later, receiving the transmitted update data.
