PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge with which contact type communication and non-contact type communication are realized by a relatively simple configuration. SOLUTION: The process cartridge 209 to be mounted on a printer 201 is provided with at least two terminals 112b for being electrically connected with the printer 201. When the terminals 112b are connected with the printer 201, a transmitting-receiving circuit 108 performs contact type communication with the printer through the terminals 112b. On the other hand, when the terminals 112b are not connected with the printer 201, a resonance circuit comprising a coil 113 and a capacitor 114 connected in series across the terminals 112b performs non-contact type communication with an external device or the like. Moreover, the data transmitted/received by the contact type communication or the non-contact type communication are at least partly stored in a memory 111. |
