PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of utilizing an existing television receiver and an existing video player without the need for any modification and of utilizing an electronic program guide (EPG). SOLUTION: The remote controller is provided with; a communication means for receiving EPG information; a storage means for storing the received EPG information; a communication means for transmitting/receiving a device control command between a device for receiving a television program broadcast and/or its remote controller; a storage means for the device control command; a display means 24 for the received EPG information; and an entry means 24 for entering an instruction from a user. For example, a near distance wireless communication means receives the EPG information, the storage means stores the information, a display means displays a television program guide on its screen based the EPG information stored in the storage means, and e.g. an infrared ray communication means 14 transmits a device control command corresponding to an instruction applied to a television program selected by the user using the entry means to a device for receiving the television program broadcast. |
