PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save manpower of the repetitive operation on a portable terminal when the page is updated in the web access at the portable terminal even if the connection state to a web is bad. SOLUTION: A connection confirming section 23 detects interruption/failure or response of update based on a signal subjected to radio reception processing. When the connection state to a web is bad, a control section 24 automatically sets a number of times for retrying connection. When connection is retried, the control section 24 delivers a control signal to a measuring means, i.e., a counter 28, and the counter 28 increments the count according to the control signal. A comparing section 29 compares the count with a set number of times. Based on the comparison results, the control section 24 controls a page being displayed on a display 26 or retries connection.
