PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image processing method, a program for executing the image processing method, and a storage medium that stores program for executing the image processing method capable of reading an image on a monitor without a sense of incongruity by executing processing according to the image. SOLUTION: When e.g. blood vessels are desirably read, a medical image processing apparatus 2 applies image processing to the image of the blood vessels to emphasize high frequency components, and when bones are desirably read, the medical image processing apparatus 2 applies image processing to the image of the bones to emphasize low frequency components (or applies no image processing to the image) so that the image to be read can be made more distinct depending on contents of the image. |
