PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the charging and discharging capacity and the charging and discharging cycle characteristic by reducing the polarization during charging and discharging. SOLUTION: In this nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a negative electrode 3 including a negative electrode active material, and polyvinylidene fluoride as a binder, the area ratio (S2/S1) of a peak area (S1) near 20.0 deg. of the diffraction angle (=2θ, θ: Bragg angle) of X-ray diffraction pattern by CuKα beam of the negative electrode 3 and a second peak area (S2) near the diffraction angle 26.4 deg. is 23.5 or more and 33.5 or less. |
