<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve electron emission quantity of a field-emission type electron emitting source. SOLUTION: An electron emitting source (121) is constructed using a carbon nano tube (121a) which has a tubular shape formed of a plurality of graphite layers made of six-membered rings of carbon, and of which outside diameter of the tube is 0.6 to 100 nm and in which the diameter of the hollow formed along the axis of the tube is 0.1 to 0.9 times of the outside diameter, and of which top end is open. This nano tube is heat treated for 5 to 20 minutes under the temperature of 520-850 deg.C in the atmosphere of oxygen concentration of 3-30 vol.%.</p> |
