PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exchange and a process updating method capable of easily updating a process. SOLUTION: A control process requests the completion of a service to an oil process 1, the old process 1 completes the service in response to the request, and returns a service completion response. The control process receiving the service completion response accumulates processed data of the process 1 inputted after the completion of the service by the old process 1, and requests the start of the service to a new process 1. In response to the request, the new process 1 starts service, the repeats a service start response. The control process receiving the service start response completes the accumulation of the processed data of the process 1, and requests the processing of the accumulated processed data to the new process 1. The new process 1 performs the accumulated processed data according to the request.
