PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system to avoid an unexpected load from being imposed on a terminal for receiving information and to attain sure transmission reception of information between terminals. SOLUTION: The terminal 8 is connected to the MODEM 11 via the Internet 1. The terminal 5 is directly connected to the MODEM 11. When the terminal 8 transmits a file 10 to the terminal 5, first the terminal 8 transmits data of the file 10 to the MODEM 11 via the Internet 1. Thus, the MODEM 11 stores the data of the file 10 to a storage device 12. The terminal 5 requests the MO DEM 11 to transmit the file 10 after that, then the MODEM 11 reads the file 10 from the storage device 12 and transmits the file 10 to the terminal 5.
