The present invention relates to a continuously variable gear for the transmission of rotational movement between an input shaft and an output shaft rotating in the same direction. The arrangement comprises a frame 3 capable of rotating coaxially with the input shaft 2, at least one second gear 5, the shaft 7 of which is supported in the frame 3 and which meshes with a first gear 4 arranged on the input shaft, together with means 10 for coupling the shaft 7 of the second gear to the output shaft 11. The input shaft 2 and the shaft 7 of the second gear form an angle v with one another, the angle preferably being 90 degrees, and the frame is a right-angled bracket. In a preferred embodiment a third gear 6 is arranged on the shaft of the second gear 5 and meshes with a fourth gear 8, which is arranged on a shaft 9, which is supported in the frame 3 parallel with the shaft 6.
