The invention concerns a device (10; 110; 210; 310) for detecting and representing movements. Said device comprises position sensing means (24; 125) for detecting the current position of a reference point (16; 116, 216; 316) of the device (10; 110; 210; 310), data processing means (32) for processing the position data detected by the position sensing means (24; 125) and projection means (21; 121) for projecting on a surface (plane XY) an image projection (28; 30) of the detected and processed position data. The data processing means (32) takes into account a modification in the current position of the reference point (16; 116, 216; 316) such that the projection image (28, 30) on the surface (plane XY) remains substantially stable concerning location and position.
