The folding bracket (11) is connected to a gas spring (15) which can be pivoted about a horizontal rotation axis (14) in the cart chassis (2). The gas spring acts as a strut to support the bracket when it is in the use position. The cart is pushed using a handle rail (6) and the folding bracket can be raised from a folded flat or sloping position to act as a stop for the luggage.
