MEDICAL NEEDLE UNIT HAVING WING SHIELD FOR PREVENTING ERRONEOUS PUNCTURING

A medical needle unit comprising a wing shield (4) having a shield tube (4a) and wing parts (5, 6) bonded to the forward end side thereof, and a needle base (2) and a needle tube (1) inserted into the shield tube. The wing parts have wing protrusions (7, 8) and the shield tube has through holes (9, 10) made in the tubular wall thereof. When both wing parts are placed in layer along the side face of the shield tube, each wing protrusion can be inserted into an inner cavity of the shield tube through the through hole. At the time of puncturing operation, axial movement of the needle base is blocked by each wing protrusion without requiring any special operation and the needle base can be held surely in the shield tube while projecting the needle tube by a specified length from the forward end of the shield tube.
