The device for the preparation and dosed dispensing of hot melt glue has a tank (2) to hold the glue and a function block (1) installed under it and consisting of a box-form housing (3) made of sheet metal which is cast with aluminum. One wall of the housing forms a heater plate (4) for the glue tank, and a welded pressure system (5) made of steel pipe sections is fitted before the casting of the box-form housing, whereby the suction connectors (6) running into the opens of the heater plate are welded tight to the heater plate.
