The side window of a road vehicle is operated by an electrical motor (6) that is coupled to a Bowden cable (2). The cable passes over rollers (9) and has connections (4) to the window panel. The Bowden cable is of metal and also acts as an antenna for the access control system. The antenna receives inputs from a remote device that are relayed to an electronic control unit (8).
