The drip catcher (10) for a drink infusion bag consists of a bottom section (16) serving for the setting down of the infusion bag (20) and which has an absorbent area, and a support section (14) serving for the side support of the infusion bag and which projects upwards at an angle from the bottom section. The support section in its upper end region has a retaining section (12), or a retaining section is attached to the upper end region of the support section. An independent claim is included for a drink infusion bag which is provided with the proposed drip catcher.
