PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing device capable of being easily arranged. SOLUTION: A holder 21 and a mounting device 22 mutually opposed to each other in the direction along a plane of structure 4 by providing columns 2 in end parts of the columns 2. One end of a connection device 23 is screw- fitted in mounting female screws in both end parts of the holder 21, and a mounting nut 33 is screw-fitted in the other end of the connection device 23 protruding from both end parts of a mounting part to attach a pair of pedestal parts 20 to the columns 2 at positions of diagonal lines of the plane of structure. The pedestal parts 20 are attached so as to nip and hold the columns 2 by the holder 21 and the mounting device 22 by screw-fitting the mounting nuts 33. Both end parts of a brace 10 are inserted into insertion holes in the pedestal parts 20, nuts 16 are screw-fitted into male screw parts in both end parts of the brace 10, the brace 10 is arranged by positioning on diagonal lines in a condition in which a tensile force acts, and the reinforcing device 1 is arranged on the plane of structure 4 so that the reinforcing device can be easily attached without working the columns 2.
