摘要 PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a polarizer and a liquid crystal display device are provided to improve degree of definition of reflected image, and to enhance the appearance by restricting the uneven grooves on the protection layer with mounting the projection layer to the polarizer with moisture regain of 5 - 30%. CONSTITUTION: A polarizer is manufactured by bonding protection layers at one side or both sides of the polarizer, and the protection layer is mounted to the polarizer with the moisture regain of 5 - 30%. The roughness of surface perpendicularly to the elongation axis of the polarizer is less than 0.04 micrometer based on the average roughness of the central line. The projection layer is bonded to the polarizer by inserting an adhesive layer, and the polarizer is manufactured by dyeing hydrophilic polymer film in a dyeing bath containing bicolor iodine or dyes, cross-linking in a cross-linking bath and elongating. The hydrophilic polymer film is made of polyvinyl alcohol group material.
