PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To up-load precise route information on a guide route set on the basis of a route search result to a service center, and to obtain precise information on facilities existing along the guide route from the service center, when the facility information is obtained on the basis of data communication with the service center. SOLUTION: A control circuit 2 which a car navigation apparatus 1 has performs route guidance, displaying the guide route set on the basis of the route search result. When a user performs selection operation for obtaining information on facilities near the guide route through the use of a group 7 of control switches or a remote controller 11, the control circuit 2 performs connection to the service center 18 via a portable telephone 17, and route information including link information and position information (point coordinates) of all nodes on the guide route is up-loaded to the service center 18. |
