PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately protect a passenger from the load inputted to a vehicle body in a side collision. SOLUTION: The seat for a vehicle comprises a seat cushion 101 and a seat back with an adjustable angle to the seat cushion 101. The seat also has a reclining shaft 131 extending in the body width direction, to which the seat back 103 is journaled to be oscillated relative to the seat cushion 101. Both ends of the reclining shaft 13 are fixed to rear wheel house parts 173 and 175 as side body members constituting the sides of the vehicle.
