PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet separating pad, capable of generating a sufficient frictional force, and free of double feeding or jamming even in a prolonged use. SOLUTION: The sheet separating pad 20 is a sheet-shape pad fabricated singly of a rubber, a resin, a thermoplastic elastomer, or the like, or of their combination appropriately prepared. A plurality of pits 21 are formed at least in the part in contact with the sheet, which are cylindrical, conical, or hemispherical in cross section.
