<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for the noncontact measurement of a moisture percentage wherein it is possible to prevent drops of water from adhering to the surface of a glass, it is possible to prevent the surface of the glass from being fogged, contaminated or flawed, and the moisture percentage of a raw material can be measured in an in-line manner and stably for many hours. SOLUTION: The infrared moisture-percentage measuring apparatus which measures the moisture percentage of the raw material in a noncontact manner is provided with a sight glass made of glass installed on the surface of a container or a pipe filled with the raw material, and a detector arranged so as to be isolated from the sight glass. In the apparatus and the method for the noncontact measurement of the moisture percentage, a water-repellent treatment is executed to the surface of the sight glass.</p> |
