PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for preventing a tension loaded to a paper from changing by a paper diameter of a thermal printer. SOLUTION: There are set a swing arm which operate by the tension of the paper set in a paper transfer path, a belt for adjusting the tension loaded to the paper in association with the swing arm, and a drum having the belt looped thereon and set in an output transmitting path for the tension. The tension loaded to the paper is designed to be kept constant by variation in a tension of the belt in association with the operation of the swing arm.
