PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nano-metal particle including thin film carbon electrode and its manufacturing method capable of measuring highly sensitively a measuring object such as hydrogen peroxide or sugars suitable for measurement using a metal electrode. SOLUTION: This nano-metal particle including thin film carbon electrode at least a part of which is brought into contact with a solution which is a measuring object detects an electrical change generated by an electrochemical reaction of the solution. The electrode is characterized by using an amorphous nano-metal particle including thin film carbon formed by dispersing uniformly nanometer-sized metal particles, and by manufacturing the thin film by a sputtering method. The electrode can acquire a high current density compared with a bulky metal electrode, and is useful for highly sensitive measurement. The electrode is also widely applicable for measurement of oxygen or hydrogen peroxide consumed or generated with the advance of an enzyme reaction, or various biomolecules, namely, sugars such as glucose, amino acids or the like. |
