PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic container where the airtightness of inside is improved by simple structure when a lid is closed by turning operation, and where free-stopping property is obtained when opening the lid. SOLUTION: The cosmetic container is opened and closed by turning the lid 20 by putting a pin vertically provided at the lid through a pin hole formed at a container body. A small diameter part 21a is formed at the intermediate part of the pin 21, an engaging part 22 of a diameter larger than the pin 21 is formed integrally at the outer periphery of a tip part, an elastic tube 23 is force-fitted to the outer periphery of the small diameter part 21a to avoid coming off by the engaging part 22, and the pin 21 mounting the elastic tube is force-fitted to a pin hole 12 to hold the elastic tube 23 in a compressed state between the engaging part 22 and the end face of a diameter expansion part 12.
