PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for extracting and removing pentavalent arsenic ions. SOLUTION: In this method for extracting and removing pentavalent arsenic ions from an aqueous solution containing the ions, an organic solvent in which fine adsorbent particles have been dispersed is brought into contact with the aqueous solution containing pentavalent arsenic ions to transfer the pentavalent arsenic ions from the aqueous phase to the organic phase.
