PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a cleaning sponge, capable of facilitating cleaning work by simplifying attachment and detachment of a cleaning sponge, and simply attaching and detaching an auxiliary plate depending upon a place to be cleaned. SOLUTION: A cover 3 for a sponge holding bed provided with a receiving frame 5 of the auxiliary plate 4 is put on the sponge holding bed 1 provided with a plurality of needle-like rods 2 and fixed by adhesion, and then inserted in the receiving frame 5 of the auxiliary plate 4 having stoppers 6, 7 to be fixed.
