PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and reliable garbage-housing cabinet by which a large quantity of garbage is compressed and volume-reduced to be housed, bad smell is never diffused to outside in the case of compression and volume reduction and the feeding and removing work of the garbage is facilitated. SOLUTION: A drawer 2 is provided at a cabinet body 1 in a state where it can be put in and out freely in a horizontal direction, a garbage box 3 having an open top is provided in the drawer 2, and a compressor 5 for compressing and volume-reducing the garbage 4 stored in the garbage box 3 is installed and fixed to an upper side of the inside of the cabinet body 1. In this case, the drawer 2 is to be put in and out slid forward and backward with respect to a housing part 6, and a front plate 8 for opening and closing the front face opening 7 of this housing part 6 is erected at the front end part of the drawer 2.
