PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mole catcher that can smoothly and exactly close the cover of the mole-catching case. SOLUTION: When a mole happens to come into the catching case 11 in the mole catcher 10, the shutter means 12, 12 are closed. In other words, the cover 19 is allowed to rotate with the forces of the spring members 20A, 20B to the cover-closing side in the gap between the guide plates 18, 18 on both sides whereby the inlets 18a, 18a of both guide plates 18, 18 are blocked and the mole is caught. When the covers 19, 19 are closed, these covers 19, 19 move along the gaps between the guide plates 18, 18 and they can be exactly closed without fail, resultantly the openings of the catching case 11 is smoothly and exactly closed with the covers without obstruction of soil or gravel.
