PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveform characteristic point determining device capable of accurately determining the waveform characteristic point. SOLUTION: When a primary waveform determining means 52 determines that a notch (the waveform characteristic point) of a brachial artery wave BW supplied from a pulse wave discriminating circuit 34 is not clear, a correction pulse wave determining means 54 corrects the brachial artery wave BW by using the relationship predetermined between the brachial artery wave BW and a carotid wave CW clear in the notch.
