PURPOSE: To perform satisfactory magnetic transfer by obtaining uniform adhesion over the whole surface between a housed slave medium and a master medium with vacuum attraction of inner space in a holder. CONSTITUTION: A master carrier 3 carrying transfer information and a slave medium 2 to received transfer are housed in an inner space 6 of a holder 10 so as to make the master carrier 3 and the slave medium 2 come into close contact with each other, and adhesion is obtained by evacuating the inner space 6 with an evacuating means. The holder 10 consists of an upper holder 11 and a lower holder 12 which slide in touch and separately, and in such a case, a flat plate part 11a located at the rear face of the slave medium 2 or the master carrier 3 in at least either the upper holder 11 or the lower holder 12 has flexibility, is deformed by pressure that acts when the inner spade is evacuated and applies adhesion equally.
