FIELD: railway transport; freight cars. SUBSTANCE: proposed device for fastening detachable roof of hopper-car contains turnable L-shaped yoke 1 hinge-secured by means of eye 3 on its short side in bracket 2 found on upper binding of car wall. Yoke is made for contacting by end of short side with support surface of bracket, and by end of long side, which can be made concave, with flange of roof edge. End of vertical flanging of roof can be engaged also with support surface of bracket. Yoke can be fixed by lock, made, for instance, in form of threaded fastener, relative to upper binding. For this purpose bracket, yoke and binding are provided with corresponding holes. Flexible member of sealing unit is installed between said flanging of roof and additional bead secured on roof for engagement with interference with upper edge of wall.
