METHOD FOR MAKING IRON BASE POWDER

FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely methods for making alloyed iron base powders for manufacture of constructional powdered parts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preparing melt, spraying it by compressed air; double- stage reduction annealing of raw powder at first in inert gas atmosphere and then in hydrogen containing atmosphere; disintegrating it; adding to prepared powder by mechanical agitation alloying elements in the form of metal compounds with low oxygen affinity at total content of alloying elements added in the form of metal compounds no more than 25 mass %; subjecting mixture to diffusion - reduction annealing in hydrogen containing atmosphere at 800-850 C; further disintegrating mixture and then adding to annealed powder (by mechanical agitation) nickel powder. EFFECT: enhanced strength of powder having no tendency to macrosegregation of alloying elements, possibility for making products with improved operational properties. 5 cl, 2 ex
