PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus with which an image information storage device having a facsimile reception function can prevent wasteful use of recording paper when the image information storage device records the acquired image information onto recording paper. SOLUTION: When the size of image information sent/received to/from other facsimile machines 30, 30, etc., is greater than the size of recording paper to be recorded with a logging terminal 40 and a facsimile machine 20 transfers the image information to the logging terminal 40, the facsimile machine 20 reduces the image information or deletes part of the information. The facsimile machine 20 attaches information with respect to the image information to the reduced or partly deleted information and transfers the resulting information to the logging terminal 40.
