PURPOSE: A steam perming appliance is provided to inject steam from the outside of a steam cover to the outside thereof where a lot winding hair is present and stretch out the steam cover by a holding unit. CONSTITUTION: A holding unit(100) has first and second holding members each having a pressing portion(111) and a holding portion(112) being rotated around a hinge shaft(113) and is mounted between the pressing portions(111) of the first and second holding members. First and second steam covers(120,120') extend to the holding portion(112) of the first and second holding members, has a semicircular shape and has a sealing member(121) on the circumferential portion.
