PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the work efficiency in attaching an operating member to an appliance after the completion of the setting works of the appliance and to prevent troubles caused by penetration of rainwater. SOLUTION: The electric water heater has a controller 12 and a housing 1 to which a bushing 25 can be attached by cutting a part adjacent to a circular slit. The bushing 25 can be fixed by attaching an attaching clamp 20, on which the operating member body 18 and a communication cable 19 are mounted, to the housing 1. Accordingly, penetration of rainwater can be prevented whether the operating member 18 is attached or not.
