PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide strapping equipment for positioning and fixing a strapping material around a load. SOLUTION: The strapping equipment (10) is provided with a frame (12), a chute (16) and a supply assembly (18) for moving strapping material to a strapping head (20). The strapping head is structured to receive the strapping material through a guide from the supply assembly at a supply mode. The strapping head is provided with a body for providing a first transferring channel for moving the strapping material from the guide to the chute and a second transferring channel for receiving the free end of the strapping material for fixing the material.
