PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To settle disorder due to thermal irregularity or the like generated by temperature variation in a lamp tube due to difference in heat radiation quantity between the side electrode plates of a cold cathode lamp. SOLUTION: An electrode plate 12a comprising a metal plate which is extended in one direction over a lamp diameter is installed on at least one side electrode terminal of this cold cathode lamp 11a. Heat is easy to be radiated in this structure, thereby generated heat temperature is kept equalized between the right and the left in the lamp tube.
