<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeve type pipe joint free from leakage of fluid and slip-off of pipe attributable to crack of a sleeve caused by tension in a circumference direction applied in connection and temperature and pressure of fluid applied after piping layout. SOLUTION: A cylindrical part fitting into an inner circumference of a pipe to be connected is provided on an end part of a joint body. A roughly cylindrical resin sleeve having an inner diameter fitting onto an outer diameter of the pipe is positioned on the outer circumference of the cylindrical part. One end of the sleeve is large in the inner and outer diameters and another end of the sleeve is small in the inner and outer diameters. Section area of a stepped part at a center part is reduced. The stepped part at the center of the sleeve is cut (sheared) by compressing the sleeve in an axial direction and a diameter of the small diameter part is reduced by override of the large diameter part on the small diameter part. The pipe is cramped between the joint body cylindrical part and the sleeve and is connected by reducing diameter of the small diameter part. A reinforcement ring is formed as one body or fitted on the large diameter part of the sleeve.</p> |
