PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a pulse radar needs an antenna having broadband characteristics and there are several types of bow-tie antennas, but any of them has a problem about the antenna size, not suitable for sensors to be assembled in small objects. SOLUTION: A bow-tie antenna usually used as a balanced type is set to be unbalanced and combined with a conductor 12 grounded to a reference voltage to obtain a mirror image of the unbalanced antenna, thereby obtaining an antenna functioning with a half the area of the balanced bow-tie antenna. A transmitting and receiving antennas 10, 11 are disposed with the conductor 12 sandwiched therein. This allows them to be put close without mutual interference and hence the size to be reduced enough to assemble them in a sensor.
|
