PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which external terminals of an electrolytic capacitor can be fixed to a sealing plate without deviating the terminals in position nor deteriorating the electric characteristics of the terminals. SOLUTION: After burrs 40 are provided on the surfaces of the external terminals 38 which are in contact with the surface of the sealing plate 30 and the terminals 38 are welded to rivets 36 through the burrs 40, the terminals 38 are fixed to the sealing plate 30 by forming crushed parts by crushing the end sections of the rivets 36 and, at the same time, holding the burrs 40 between the crushed parts and step sections of the rivets 36.
