PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintering method for a hard alloy, which reduces adverse effects to operators, air and soil and which prevents the contact reaction of the sintering tray. SOLUTION: The sintering method for the hard alloy comprises mounting pressed bodies 3 of the hard alloy on a sintering tray 2 to sinter it, and applying a coating material 1 which contains; at least one of carbon, graphite, aluminum oxide and zirconium oxide; a material containing (C6 H10 O5 )n ; and water; onto the surface of the sintering tray 2.
