PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial connector, in which curtailment of the parts number and the man-hour for assembling and improvement in the high frequency characteristic are possible. SOLUTION: A pipe-like clamp 8, which has a convex part 11 in an inner circumference and a taper part 12 in the outer perimeter and a slit, which allows enlargement/contraction of a diameter, are formed is made to be inserted in a coaxial cable 1. A nut 7, which has a slope 14 corresponding to the taper part of the clamp, is fitted to a shell 9, and it is bound tightly. When carrying out the fitting to shell, the nut makes the clamp shrink its diameter to make a convex part bite to the external electricity feeding conductor of the coaxial cable. In this way, the coaxial cable is made to hold to the shell through the clamp and the nut. This uses the main electricity feeding conductor of the coaxial cable as main contact.
