PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make insertion and locking of a terminal locking member be carried out conforming to the rule and surely even if the article number of a connector changes. SOLUTION: This is the connector in which the terminal locking member 1 is inserted into a connector housing 8, and in which a locking part 5 of the terminal locking member is made to be engaged with engaging parts 16, 17 of the connector housing, and the locking part 5 is arranged and installed at a position close to the base part opposite to the inserting direction of the terminal locking member 1. The locking part 5 is installed at a flexible retaining plate 4 protruding from a circuit board part 2 of the terminal locking member 1, and the connector housing 8 is retained by the retaining plate. An auxiliary plate 6 is installed crossing the retaining plate 4, and within a range from the locking part 5 to the tip side of the retaining plate 4, a broad-width part for preventing slipping off of a water-proof packing in the connector housing is formed in the auxiliary plate. The locking part 5 or engaging parts 16, 17 are arranged in two in parallel for temporary locking use and final locking use. The position of the locking part 5 is constant for respective connectors in which the number of terminal poles is different.
