PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation button unit with an indicator allowing a luminescent state of the indicator to be confirmed not only from one direction but also from two or more directions, in particular from a horizontal direction as well. SOLUTION: This operation button unit is provided with an illuminant 15 on the lower side of transparent operation buttons 1 formed on a panel 6 and capable of notifying a user of a function or a state realized by the operation of the operation buttons 1 by brightening the operation buttons by emission of the illuminant. The operation buttons 1 can emit the light emitted from the illuminant 15 by dividing it into two or more directions outside the operation buttons 1. The emission direction of the operation buttons 1 is preferably in a range of a specific viewing angle from the upper direction and the horizontal direction.
