PURPOSE: A finger for weighting with a symbol rate in a smart antenna system and a modulating device and method using the same are provided to weight traffic channels using optimum weighting information calculated from receiving signals of a reverse pilot channel, in an environment adopting the reverse pilot channel and the smart antenna system, so as to enable tracking by users and high-speed wide-band communication. CONSTITUTION: A descrambler(110) multiplies an inputted digital baseband receiving signal by a PN(Pseudo Noise) code by using frame timing information received from an external, for descrambling. A pilot integrator(120) receives and integrates the descrambled signal, to output a pilot signal. A beamformer(130) receives the descrambled signal and the pilot signal, to calculate and output weight vector. A pilot weighting block(140) receives the weight vector and multiplies the weight vector by the pilot signal, to output a phase compensation signal for compensating phase delay of remnant channels. A Walsh despreading unit(150) receives the descrambled signal from the descrambler(110) to multiply the descrambled signal by a Walsh code, and performs integration as long as corresponding code length by channels, to output signals in which transfer rates are despreaded correspondingly to the code length by channels. A channel-specific weighting unit(160) weights each channel-specific signal received from the Walsh despreading unit(150) at a symbol rate using the weight vector of a symbol rate classified by channels. And a channel compensation unit(170) compensates delayed channels by using the phase compensation signal inputted from the pilot weighting block(140), for weighting signals corresponding to channels outputted from the channel-specific weighting unit(160). |
