WIRELESS APPARATUS CAPABLE OF COMMUNICATING IN TWO FREQUENCY BANDS, AND LOCAL OSCILLATION SIGNAL GENERATING METHOD IN THE WIRELESS APPARATUS

A wireless apparatus for realizing wireless communications by performing frequency conversions matching signals of different frequency bands. A local oscillation signal generating device contained in the wireless apparatus comprises a first signal generating unit, a second signal generating unit, and a frequency synthesizing unit for generating a local oscillation signal. The first signal generating unit generates a first signal having a first frequency. The second signal generating unit is constructed of a PLL frequency synthesizer circuit to generate a second signal having a second frequency lower than the first frequency. The frequency synthesizing unit synthesizes the first signal and the second signal to generate either a local oscillation signal having a frequency obtained by adding the second frequency to the first frequency or a local oscillation signal having a frequency obtained by subtracting the second frequency from the first frequency.
